As 2016 ends so another year dawns. Expand your consciousness in 2017 with a daily mindfulness practice.
There is nothing better you can do for yourself. Period. A new life resolution.
I have been using a sweet app to log my mindfulness practice called Insight Timer.
The app has just had a fancy new update to prepare for the new year. Within the app you will find a global community of people who take time out of their lives to restore the quiet of our source. To sit, lay, eat, walk mindfully; slowly.
The timer has also created a new group of people who are resolving to find this time each of the 365 days of 2017. The idea started quietly on the app and has spread to over 30,000 people who will support each other in their expansion. I am proud to be part of this community.
I started my practice when I realized that adults need something; something they never learned in school.
I then thought, if adults need something why are we waiting till adulthood to acquire this magical thing? I pursued cultivating my own mindfulness practice in 2015 and how to teach it to children. For the first half of this year I have been able to give the gift of mindfulness to 240 4th and 5th grade students and while some have yet to really feel their own presence, the feed back is one of gratitude and grounding.
You can find your presence- feel it in the gravity of your body, in the sensations of your hands, the rhythmic breathing of your body or the upward nature of your spine.
I encourage you from the innermost sense of my being to explore your inner landscape with mindfulness. The app will keep a log of your statistics and who doesn’t love looking at stats?

Do not put aside your cognitive dissonance. This will help your consciousness expand. Expand to encircle all living beings in peace and harmony.
And when that happens you will have not problem changing your food choices, for your next meal and forever forward. Eat plant based. Go vegan.
I sent an intention to practice everyday and I have for the last 100 plus days.
